When it comes to lunch, no one’s tardy, everyone’s a critic.

Favorites? At Foothill High, it’s the cheesy potato soup and the offerings at the low-fat food cart. At Trabuco High, it’s the chili-cheese fries and chocolate-chip cookies. At Huntington Beach High, it’s tacos and pizza topping the list. At Western High, anything smothered in ranch dressing is popular.

What don’t book-toting food aficionados like?

“The hamburgers taste like dry wood,” declares one student.

“The sausage in a pancake is definitely the worst,” says another consumer.

The common denominator? On and off campus, the key word to food is “fast.”
