Gambling Money

It’s “Alice in Wonderland” and Pete Wilson is the Mad Hatter. According to the May 30 paper, our esteemed governor is angry about Indian tribe donations he calls “outrageous”--contributions made to candidates for attorney general.

At least the Indians live in California. Not a word in the article about the huge amounts of cash Atty. Gen. Dan Lungren and Wilson have pocketed from Las Vegas gambling interests over the past few years. This is a matter of public record. Lungren is quoted as saying he is taking no money from the tribes. I can’t imagine the tribes feeding the hand that has been biting them for so very long.
