Group Organizes Its 15th Cleanup Day
The Mid Valley Chamber of Commerce on Saturday will host its 15th annual cleanup day, aimed at beautifying local neighborhoods.
The event runs from 7 a.m. until noon and begins at Delano Park at 15100 Erwin St., where Erwin, Noble Avenue and Delano Street meet. Teams will work in an 8- to 10-square-mile area removing graffiti, picking up trash and pulling weeds.
“Our purpose is to promote pride in our neighborhoods and make our community a better place in which to live, work and do business,” said Ron Feinstein, president of the chamber and co-chair and founder of the cleanup day.
All participating volunteers will receive a free T-shirt, continental breakfast and a barbecue lunch. More than 300 people are expected to help in this year’s event.
For more information or to volunteer, call the chamber at (818) 989-0300.
