3 Meetings Planned on City Charter Reform

Three public meetings on reforming the City Charter will be held next week.

On Monday, the Los Angeles Elected City Charter Reform Commission’s committee on improving financial and managerial accountability will discuss issues on debt, pensions and procurements at 4 p.m. at the Francisco Bravo Medical Magnet High School, 120 N. Cornwell St. in Boyle Heights.

The committee on improving the delivery of city services will meet at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Department of Water and Power, 111 N. Hope St., Room A5A, Los Angeles. Information: (213) 977-6700.

On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Appointed Charter Reform Commission convenes for a decision-making meeting to focus on city commissions, proprietary departments and the structure of the city attorney’s office. The meeting will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. at the DWP, Room 1555H. Information: (213) 367-5234.
