Saturday and June 14: Flower and Garden Festival, with garden and historical displays and vendors, music and a special children's garden, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., plus a talk on garden antiques by Times garden editor Robert Smaus on Saturday at 1 p.m., and a talk by author Judith Handelsman on "Growing Myself," at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, at Mission San Juan Capistrano, corner of Ortega Highway and Camino Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano, (714) 248-2048. Saturday and June 14: Insect Fair, the largest event of its kind, with 60 exhibitors from around the world, featuring living and preserved insects--from hissing cockroaches you can touch to beetle jewelry and chocolate-covered bugs--10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, Exposition Park, (213) 763-3558).
