Align-Rite Posts Record 4th-Quarter Revenues

Align-Rite International Inc. reported record fourth-quarter revenue of nearly $13 million, up 38% from $9.5 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 1997.

It marked the fifth consecutive quarter of growth for the Burbank-based company, which makes photo masks--glass plates used by semiconductor makers in the production of integrated circuits.

Revenue for the fiscal year that ended March 31 rose 23% to $46.7 million from $38 million the previous year.

For the year, diluted earnings per share rose 13% to $1.25 from $1.11 in the previous year.
