Inktomi Corp., which makes a popular software for searching the Internet, is expected to go public today. Inktomi shares were priced at $18. The company will offer 2.2 million shares through an underwriting team led by Goldman, Sachs & Co. San Mateo-based Inktomi is increasingly being recognized for delivering the most comprehensive search results on the Web. It has alliances with several Internet portal services to provide search technology to their directories.
