Bridgford Foods Corp.: The Anaheim producer of convenience food products reported second fiscal quarter net income of $2.4 million, or 23 cents a share, 50% higher than the $1.6 million, or 16 cents a share, for the same period last year. Sales for the second quarter ended May 1 increased 6% to $32.3 million from $30.6 million. First-half net income rose 48% to $4 million, or 39 cents a share, from $2.7 million, or 26 cents a share, for the first six months of the prior year. Sales were up 9% to $67.8 million from $62.3 million.
