Residents are invited to meet officers and detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Los Angeles Station at an open house to be held there Saturday.
Representatives from the LAPD’s SWAT team, bomb squad and mounted and K-9 units will also be present, along with all the station’s senior lead officers, said community relations Officer Chuck Smith.
The open house will feature station tours and activities for children. A bullet-riddled patrol car from the 1997 North Hollywood bank robbery shootout will be on display.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1663 Butler Ave. For information, call Sgt. Toish Ellerson at (310) 575-8431.
