Event to Benefit ‘Retired’ Animals

The Nature of Wildworks wildlife center will hold a benefit today at Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum to help support “retired” animals, many who were once were part of the Los Angeles Zoo.
There will be performances by Topanga groups Blue Sky Band, John Andrew Parks and Wally High as well as an environmentally themed play.
Some of the animals from the center will be on stage for people to see. The nonprofit Wildworks center provides care to 20 wild animals, including mountain lions.
Mollie Hogan, director of the Topanga-based center, said the money raised would will go toward care for the animals.
Admission to the show is $10 for adults and $7 for children younger than 12. Performances will be from noon to 5 p.m.
