Update--The Sparks wrap up a three-game, season-opening road trip tonight, hoping to find some reserves who can contribute offensively so they can carry a 2-1 record into Friday’s Forum opener against New York. Los Angeles defeated Utah in its Thursday opener, then lost at Phoenix on Sunday, 70-60. Julie Rousseau’s starters outscored those from Cheryl Miller’s team, 51-43, but the Mercury bench outscored the Spark reserves, 27-9. Phoenix beat Sacramento, 73-70, on Thursday. Los Angeles rookie Allison Feaster has scored five points and made a three-point basket in each of her first two games.
