* Shares of Rambus Inc., a developer of advanced memory chip technology, jumped for the second day after the company received major endorsements from two leading personal computer makers. Shares of the Mountain View-based firm leaped $11 to close at $57.25 on Nasdaq. On Monday, the stock rose $7.69 after the company announced that Compaq Computer Corp. and Dell Computer Corp. will feature Rambus technology in their PCs in 1999.
