Young campers are invited to participate in Placentia’s summer program offered at Kraemer Memorial Park, featuring arts and crafts, sports, swimming and other activities.
Registration continues for the 12-week day camp, held through Sept. 4.
The program, which runs from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, is open to children ages 5 to 12.
Cost is $210 for a two-week session.
The city is also hosting the first Junior Goodwill Games on June 14 at El Dorado High School. Local youths 8 to 13 years old can participate in basketball, swimming and track and field events.
There is no registration fee for the games, which are designed to encourage participation in sports while promoting sportsmanship. A copy of each participant’s birth certificate is required.
Information on both programs: (714) 993-8232.
