Spotlight: Visa Taps British Banker to Become CEO

Credit card company Visa International has named Malcolm Williamson, group chief executive of British banking firm Standard Chartered, as president and chief executive, effective Oct. 1. Williamson will succeed Edmund Jensen, who announced in February that he planned to retire from the Visa card association. San Francisco-based Visa says it is the world's largest credit card group, with a 58% share of the global market and transaction volume exceeding $1 trillion a year.
