Candidate Statements Due in Community Council Race

Share

Residents who are interested in running for one of eight neighborhood representative seats on the Pacific Palisades Community Council must submit candidate statements by July 23, the council chairwoman said.

The council, which discusses neighborhood issues such as crime, land use and city services, has 21 members, said Shirley Haggstrom. Four members are elected by the council’s board of directors, nine represent local organizations and eight represent specific geographical areas, she said.

Council members serve two-year terms and attend biweekly meetings, which fall on the second and fourth Thursdays of most months, she said.

Statements may be mailed to the Pacific Palisades Community Council at Box 1131, Pacific Palisades 90272.
