Missing Girls Found Unharmed at Beach

Two teenage Glendora girls, subjects of a search since they failed to return from an Azusa mall on Thursday, were returned to their parents Sunday evening when a friend spotted them in Huntington Beach and notified police.

A Glendora police spokesman said that the pair--Maria De Jesus Martinez, 14, and Jacqueline Gabriela Alvarez, 13,--were unharmed. They “apparently met a young man” at the mall Thursday night and voluntarily accompanied him to his residence in Azusa, where they spent two days before deciding to go to the beach, the spokesman said.
