Furon Notes Placed

Furon Co. said it has completed a private placement of $125 million of notes due 2008. The notes bear interest at 8.13% per year, payable semi-annually, Furon said.

The company said the net proceeds from the offering, which totaled about $121.7 million, will be used to repay a portion of Furon’s existing debt.

Furon designs, develops and manufactures products made primarily from polymer materials for the industrial and health care markets.
