College Offers Peek into Legal Profession

Share

Offering an insider’s look at the legal profession and information on how to qualify for the myriad of jobs available in the legal world, the Valley College Extension Program will host a free legal careers open house Tuesday.

“We’ll tell [participants] what kind of education and training they need to get the jobs they want in the legal profession,” said Hariann Goldman, the extension program director. “Right now, there are a lot of opportunities in law and people should take advantage of them.”

Goldman said the open house will outline the requirements of several jobs in the legal profession such as lawyer, paralegal and legal secretary. Specifically, participants will get information on the education and certificates required and learn exactly what each job entails.
