Dorsey & Whitney Names Basombrio Law Firm Partner

uan C. Basombrio has been named a partner in the Orange County office of Dorsey & Whitney LLP. He had been an associate in the law firm for five years, practicing in the area of business litigation.

Mark J. Schulz has been appointed regional vice president of the Western region for Net Explorer Inc., an online technology services provider. He will be based in the company’s new Irvine office. Schulz previously managed the local environmental services practice at Coopers & Lybrand and was the managing director of a venture capital fund.

Richard H. Keyes has been named chief executive of Cypress Financial Services Inc. He was also elected to the board of directors to fill a vacancy. Farrest Hayden will remain as president and chairman of the board. Four years ago, Keyes established Keyes Capital Group, a private venture capital and investment firm where he continues to serve as principal.

Susan Bunney has joined JAMS/Endispute, an Irvine provider of alternative dispute resolution services, as director of internal communication and public relations. Bunney has worked with Freeman/McCue Public Relations and Marketing Communications as the account executive for JAMS/Endispute since November 1996. Before that, she was an attorney with American International Group Insurance Co. In addition, Bruce A. Edwards has been appointed to the new position of executive vice president. Edwards will be responsible for the offices in California, Seattle and Denver. He will also serve as chief mediator for the company. In addition, Michael D. Young, senior vice president, professional services and general counsel, was appointed executive vice president for the eastern and central parts of the country.
