Julie Katakura has been hired as art director at Wiley & Associates advertising agency in Westlake Village. Her accounts will include ABBA Hair Care Products and NoJo, a children’s bedding manufacturer.
Her previous agency jobs include Bozell Worldwide and Mad Dogs & Englishmen, New York.
* Attorney Michael C. O’Brien of Ventura has been elected to serve as managing partner of Nordman, Cormany, Hair & Compton in Oxnard. Other attorneys elected to the firm’s management committee were partners Scott B. Samsky and Anthony H. Trembley, both of Camarillo.
O’Brien, who has been with the law firm since 1973, specializes in business and real estate litigation in state and federal courts.
* Bill Barbee has joined Hasan Consultants, a Ventura firm specializing in civil and environmental engineering/planning. Before being hired by Hasan, Barbee was executive vice president of Gallant Solutions of Ventura.
His professional background includes being a consultant to various businesses, individuals and local governments.
