Bikers to Ride in Diabetes Fund-Raiser

Thousands of bikers will take to the highways next month to raise money for diabetes research.

The “Bikers Against Diabetes” run will begin at 10 a.m. April 5 at Orange County Harley Davidson, 2131 E. 1st St., Santa Ana. It will conclude with a concert and party at the Glen Helen Blockbuster Pavilion in San Bernardino County.

About 2,000 motorcyclists from Orange and Los Angeles counties are expected to join the ride. Special guests will include Willie and Bill Davidson of Harley-Davidson fame, Dorian Gregory of “Baywatch Nights” and Easyrider magazine columnist “Rip.”

The event is sponsored by the American Diabetes Assn.

The minimum donation for single riders is $30. An additional $20 is required for a second rider. Proceeds will go to the ADA research and education funds.
