AIDS Registration

Re “Keeping Pace in the Ever-Changing Fight Against AIDS,” Feb. 9:

It is clear that AIDS-infected people are not being responsible in their sexual practices.

The infection rate is still out of control.

There seems to be a mentality out there that says, “I’m going to die, so why should I care about others?”

Infecting someone with AIDS is not an act of love. It would be more merciful to be shot with a gun. AIDS is a terrible way to die.

We go to great lengths to protect the anonymity and civil rights of the infected person because of sympathy.

Instead of registering guns, we should register AIDS-infected people.

We will never get AIDS under control as long as AIDS-infected people are allowed to be anonymous. Drug-addicted people don’t care who they infect.
