Spotlight: President of Merisel Is Resigning

Merisel Inc. said Robert J. McInerney is resigning as president and chief operating officer of the computer and software distributor to return to New York. McInerney, who joined the El Segundo-based company in February 1997, said relocating to the West Coast “has not been an easy transition.” The company said McInerney was instrumental in recruiting key management and in boosting sales. Chief Executive Dwight A. Steffensen will assume the title of president.
