ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS

SafeGuard Health Enterprises Inc.: The Anaheim-based health care marketing company said first quarter net income was $663,000, or 14 cents a share. That compares with year-ago net income of $1.2 million, or 25 cents a share, which included $485,000 from discontinued operations. SafeGuard completed the sale of its orthodontic practices earlier this year. Revenue was up 9% to $25.4 million from $23.2 million.
