Kids’ Fund-Raiser Needs Helpers, Items
With an auction and dinner fund-raiser for county youths less than six weeks away, organizers need more volunteers and auction items, an official said Saturday.
The annual Auction for the Boys & Girls clubs of Oxnard and Port Hueneme is scheduled June 12 at the Lobster Trap restaurant in Channel Islands Harbor.
“This event is not only a great meal and entertainment but a major part of our annual fund-raising to serve almost 4,000 youth in our communities,” said Oxnard City Councilman Dean Maulhardt, auction chairman.

The Boys & Girls clubs of Oxnard and Port Hueneme operate seven branches.
