Supervisors’ Pay

Re “Quirky Perks of the MTA,” April 24: I always thought elected officials were in office to represent their constituents as strongly as possible and thus would want to have as much influence and say as possible.
To read in The Times that our county supervisors receive extra money when they serve on boards, commissions, authorities, associations, etc. was a shock.
Just what are they getting those large salaries for? Shall we soon be reading they want additional money just for showing up in their office or attending board meetings?
Enough is enough!
