Adopt-a-Pet Day Saturday at Shelter

The Orange County Animal Shelter will be celebrating “Be Kind to Animals Month” Saturday with its annual Adopt-a-Pet Day.

All dogs adopted during the event will come with certificates for free spays or neuters. Many kittens, which already have been spayed or neutered, will be available for adoption as well.

Other highlights include an exotic animal display and booths from groups including House Rabbit Society, Turtle and Tortoise Club and Opossum Society. Local veterinarians will be available to answer questions and give advice.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the shelter, 561 City Drive South in Orange.
