Deputies Searching for Runaway Girl, 10
Sheriff’s deputies continued their search Monday for a 10-year-old Carson girl who they believe ran away from home Sunday night, authorities said.
Montrece Johnson was last seen about 6 p.m. Sunday at her home on the 1600 block of West 209th Street, said Sgt. Michael Browne. He said Johnson, who has no prior history of running away, had a conversation with her mother about using the telephone before she disappeared.
Browne said Johnson is African American, 4 feet, 3 inches tall, weighs 100 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. She has a scar on her left cheek under her eye and was last seen wearing a white blouse with a pattern of blue flowers, blue shorts and black sandals.
Anyone who knows her whereabouts is urged to call the Sheriff’s Department at (310) 830-1123.
