Intuit Inc. said it will produce its popular Quicken personal- finance software for Apple Computer Inc.’s Macintosh next year, reversing an earlier decision. Mountain View-based Intuit said it will produce a Macintosh version of Quicken in the second half of 1999. Last month, the software maker said it would stop developing new versions of its flagship program for the Mac, citing declining sales. The reversal grew out of discussions between Apple interim Chief Executive Steve Jobs and Intuit President and CEO Bill Campbell, a board member at Cupertino-based Apple. Intuit shares declined $1.13 to $52.88, and Apple was up 63 cents to $29.69, both on Nasdaq.
