Techniclone Stock Remains Among Nation’s Most Active

Techniclone Corp.’s stock ranked among the most actively traded issues Thursday for the third day in a row.

About 10.3 million shares changed hands, making the Tustin biotech firm the fifth most active stock on U.S. markets. The stock rose 22 cents a share to close at $2. Its price has more than doubled since Monday.

Techniclone stock also was fifth on the most-active list Wednesday, with a volume of 12.8 million shares, and topped the most-active stocks on Tuesday, when 19.3 million shares were traded.

Company officials attributed the activity once again to investor interest in cancer research stocks and the company’s own promising technologies for treating cancer.
