2 Drivers Killed in Head-On Collision
An 18-year-old Oxnard man and a 28-year-old Camarillo woman died Thursday afternoon in a head-on collision near Camarillo Airport, authorities said.
The crash occurred on Pleasant Valley Road east of Sturgis Road about 4 p.m, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The man’s white Ford Taurus collided with the woman’s white Toyota Corolla, and the two were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Both people were driving alone, the CHP reported.
Authorities were unable to provide the names of the victims. They had shut down several nearby roads to investigate.
