3 Held on Marijuana Charges
After a lengthy investigation, Brea police said they stopped a vehicle under surveillance Thursday and seized three suitcases containing 68 pounds of marijuana possibly bound for New York.
Police said they arrested three occupants, identified as Sylvia Ann Paige, 38, of New York; Linney Delaine Weston, 36, of Brea; and Jennifer Marie Dallas, 33, of Placentia.
The three were booked into Orange County Jail on suspicion of felony transportation of marijuana for sale, and were being held on $50,000 bail each, said Brea Police Lt. Doug Dickerson.
Search warrants were obtained for the homes of the suspects in Brea and Placentia, along with an additional location in La Habra, police said.
The estimated street value of the marijuana is $200,000.
