Ashabraner Pitches No-Hitter

Junior Bo Ashabraner pitched a no-hitter with the help of a strong defensive play to end the game as Esperanza beat Marina, 7-0, in a Sunset League baseball game Friday.

Ashabraner, a right-hander, struck out five and walked three. Second baseman Sal Deanda made a diving catch for the final out of the no-hitter.

Nick Gor hit a homer, his fifth, in the seventh. Esperanza is 15-6-1, 9-3-1.
