PIA Cuts Its Losses

PIA Merchandising Services Inc., an Irvine provider of product display and promotion monitoring services, said it lost $1 million, or 19 cents a share, for the first quarter, compared with a net loss of $1.2 million, or 20 cents a share, for the 1997 first quarter. Revenue rose 18% to $34.7 million from $29.4 million.
