Shakey’s Names New Chief Operating Officer

* Madison Jobe has been named chief operating officer for Shakey’s Inc., an Irvine-based pizza franchise company. He had been a consultant to the company for the past year, responsible for franchise development. Jobe has previously been a member of the board of directors and vice president for Red Robin International Inc., vice president of the Western region for Fuddruckers Inc. and vice president for Santa Anita Realty Enterprises Inc. In addition, Lamar Campbell was appointed chief financial officer for U.S. operations. He had been vice president of finance.

* Theodore N. Bremner has joined Union Bank of California as a vice president and branch manager at the Orange office. He had been with First City National Bank and First Interstate Bank.

* Janne Hurley Clare has been named general manager of the Westin South Coast Plaza hotel in Costa Mesa. Clare was previously operations manager for the Westin Copley Place in Boston, and before that, was operations manager of the Westin South Coast Plaza.

* Dean Campbell has been appointed vice president of Systems Management Specialists’ health care practice in Santa Ana. He most recently served at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles as chief information officer and senior executive for clinical ancillary operations and general support services.

* Craig Aronson has joined Berger, Kahn, Shafton, Moss, Figler, Simon & Gladstone in Irvine as a principal. Aronson was formerly a partner at Hagenbaugh & Murphy in Glendale.

* Maynard Carkhuff has been named president and chief operating officer of Flex-Foot Inc. in Aliso Viejo. He has been executive vice president and general manager for nine years.

* Ross F. Heaton has been named director of ultrasound marketing for Toshiba America Medical Systems in Tustin. Before joining the company, Heaton was senior vice president of marketing and sales for Perception Ultrasound International in Bothel, Wash.

* Tom Wilhelm has been named director of construction for CKE Restaurants Inc. in Anaheim. He will be responsible for the construction of all new company-operated Carl’s Jr. restaurants and for the remodeling of all corporate restaurants and Green Burrito dual-brand conversions. Wilhelm had been construction manager.

* Rosana Marsili has joined Hilary Kaye Associates, a Newport Beach marketing communications firm. She was previously with Capen Communications, Cohen Kaye Leonard, Solution Marketing and the Downtown News.

* Alan Hibbert has been named executive vice president-West Coast operations for VSI Holdings Inc.’s Visual Services subsidiary in Cypress. He had been at the company’s marketing division headquarters in Detroit for 18 years, holding various account management, creative and strategic planning positions.

* Marvin S. Berger has been appointed executive vice president of sales and marketing for Sims Communications Inc. in Irvine. He was formerly vice president of sales, special accounts, for SmarTalk Telecommunications Inc., a prepaid phone card company. Berger also held positions with IBM, Data General Corp. and Visage Corp.

* Laurie Grushen has been named vice president-senior national claims counsel for First American Title Insurance Co. in Santa Ana. She had been regional counsel. Grushen joined the company in 1988 as an associate regional counsel for the Orange County branch office after working for two Orange County law firms where she practiced real estate and municipal law.

* Aaron Weiner has joined Parker Properties Inc. in Aliso Viejo as vice president of asset management. Weiner was formerly director of operations-real estate management services for the Orange County region for CB Commercial/Koll.

* JoAnne Williams is the new national director for Real Estate Temps, a Newport Beach division of Strategic HR Services in San Clemente. She will be responsible for operations, sales and marketing for the company’s eight branch offices as well as national expansion. Prior to joining Real Estate Temps, Williams spent more than 10 years with Costain Homes in Newport Beach in managerial positions.

* Michael Bobeczko has joined Sukut Construction Inc. in Santa Ana as director of marketing, a newly created position. He had been founder and president of Sound International Technology.

* J.R. Wetzel has been appointed to the newly created position of executive vice president of operations for Pacific Gulf Properties Inc., a Newport Beach real estate investment trust. He will be responsible for overseeing all operating, leasing and marketing activities for Pacific Gulf’s industrial portfolio and its multifamily portfolio, and oversee all development and construction activities. Before joining the company, he was vice president of development for the Western region for Industrial Developments International in Irvine. Wetzel was president of O’Donnell Property Services in Irvine from January 1994 to May 1995. When the company was sold, he became senior managing director for the successor company, Insignia-O’Donnell.

* Nancy T. Fredrickson has joined the new Financial Services division of Marine National Bank in Irvine as vice president. She was previously with Pacific National Bank, and has also worked at Monarch Bank, Bank of San Clemente, American State Bank and Irvine National Bank.

* Rhos B. Dyke has been named vice president of sales and service for Environmental Software in Huntington Beach. Before joining the company, Dyke was vice president of sales for Manugistics.
