Public’s Help Sought in Locating Fugitives

Ventura County Sheriff’s Department investigators are asking the public for help in locating four fugitives wanted in connection with crimes ranging from failing to appear in court to driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Stephen David Borja, 51, is wanted on suspicion of possessing dangerous drugs and driving on a revoked license, sheriff’s officials said.

Borja’s last known address was 3458 Nyeland Ave. in Nyeland Acres. His last job was at Dean Foods in Oxnard, records show.

He is described as Latino, 5 feet, 11 inches and 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has two tattoos: “Steve” on his left forearm and a cross on his upper right arm.

Authorities are also searching for Carolyn Margaret Alderson, also known as Carolyn Worrell and Carolyn Crone, for failing to appear in court on a felony charge of drunk driving and causing an injury in 1994.

Alderson, 43, has worked as a travel agent. Her last known address was 2115 Koala Way in Ventura, but investigators believe she has moved to Arizona with her children. Authorities have approved extradition.

She is white, 5 feet 9, and 150 pounds. She has blond hair, blue eyes and a birth mark on her left palm.

Also being sought is John Sandy VanCleef, 41, for failure to appear for a drug diversion program after pleading guilty to possession of dangerous drugs last year.

His last known address was 404 Redwood St. in Oxnard. He was last employed by Ventura Asphalt as a laborer, a job he has since quit, investigators said.

VanCleef is white, 5 feet 11, and 165 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and a scar on his forehead.

Authorities are also searching for David Scott Losthorse, 47, wanted on suspicion of possessing and being under the influence of dangerous drugs and failing to appear in court.

Losthorse moved from his home on South Pueblo Street in Meiners Oaks and was last known to be living in Las Vegas.

Losthorse is an American Indian, 6 feet and 190 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and numerous tattoos, including a bow and arrow on his right hand and a gourd and arrow on his left hand.
