ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS

QLogic Corp.: The Costa Mesa computer products company reported that net income for the fourth quarter more than doubled to $4.2 million, or 46 cents a share, from $2 million, or 32 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue for the quarter ended March 29 rose 19% to a record $22.7 million from $19 million. Net income for fiscal 1998 grew to $13.4 million, or $1.66 a share, from $5.8 million, or 96 cents a share, the previous year. Revenue was up 18% to a record $81.4 million from $68.9 million.
