Robber Escapes With Cash From Bank of America
A man who said he had a gun robbed a Bank of America this week, escaping with an undetermined amount of cash, authorities said.
No one was injured during the incident at noon Tuesday, and police are still looking for the robber, Huntington Beach Police Lt. Gary Brooks said.
Brooks said the robber approached a teller inside Bank of America in the 7700 block of Edinger Avenue and demanded money from the teller’s cash drawer. He threatened the teller by saying he had a gun and would use it.
The teller gave the robber cash, and he fled on foot, running south from the bank to the parking lot, Brooks said.
Police searched the area but did not find the robber and have not determined whether he actually had a weapon, Brooks said.
