Gensia Sicor Inc.: The pharmaceutical company reported a net loss of $4.9 million, or 6 cents a share, for the first quarter, which included an investment write-down of $1.1 million. That compares with a net loss of $40.3 million, or 66 cents a share, for the first quarter of 1997, which included a $29.2 million write-off for research and development costs associated with the acquisition of Rakepoll Holding and its subsidiaries in February 1997. Revenue rose 95% to $43.6 million from $22.4 million.
