Oral Roberts to Preach at Ventura Church
VENTURA —
Evangelist Oral Roberts is scheduled to preach at Solid Rock Christian Center at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
Pastor Lonnie McCowan said it took him three years to get Roberts, who established a university in Tulsa, Okla., to speak at his church.
It will mark Roberts’ first visit to Ventura.
“The Lord put it in my heart to be persistent,” McCowan said, adding he did not know what the 80-year-old Roberts would discuss.
