Visions of Telecom Future

Share

Los Angeles business leaders will get a chance to sound off on the future of the city’s telecommunications infrastructure this week during the inaugural meeting of the recently created Telecommunications Task Force.

Mayor Richard Riordan and Councilman Mark Ridley-Thomas will host the Telecommunications Roundtable Forum on Thursday at the California Science Center in Exposition Park. They will hear from business leaders and other members of the public about their telecommunications needs. The input will be used to “sketch a vision for Los Angeles in the Information Age,” Riordan said.

The task force includes representatives from the Los Angeles Regional Technology Alliance, the Information Technology Agency, the Public Resources Advisory Group, UCLA and IBM.
