Share

The Los Angeles airport commissioners on Tuesday awarded the fourth in a series of contracts for soundproofing work to be done in the second phase of the Los Angeles International Airport residential soundproofing program.

The first phase of the project was recently completed and 126 units in multifamily buildings were outfitted with double-paned windows, solid-core doors, attic insulation and other improvements. The new contract will allow 137 more homes to be soundproofed over the next few months.

“We are very committed to this program,” said Airport Executive Director John Driscoll. “We are making every effort to keep pace with the sound insulation needs of the local community.”
