Microsoft Corp. and Sega Enterprises plan to collaborate on a home video game system that runs on a version of Microsoft’s Windows operating system for computers. Tokyo-based Sega’s new Dreamcast product, using a customized version of Windows CE, is scheduled for release in Japan on Nov. 20 and worldwide next year. The venture is Microsoft’s first in console video games, said a spokesman for the Redmond, Wash.-based software giant. Dreamcast will feature advanced 3-D graphics, sound and input devices, plus a modem for Internet access.
