Officials to Visit Markets, Museum to Discuss Budget Plan

Representatives from the city budget office will visit three Santa Monica farmers markets in the next two weeks to answer questions about the proposed $279.3-million budget for the 1998-99 fiscal year.

Officials will be at the downtown farmers market at 2nd Street and Arizona Avenue on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., said city Budget Manager John Karcic. Another session will be held there May 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Also on May 30, representatives will be at the market at Pico and Cloverfield boulevards from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The final session will be May 31 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the California Heritage Museum parking lot, 2612 Main St.
