From Times Wire Reports

Voters repudiated their Socialist-led government and cast ballots overwhelmingly in favor of the opposition. This opened the way for a center-right coalition to rule the country. Unofficial final results gave the Federation of Young Democrats-Hungarian Civic Party, the premier center-right party, 149 seats in the 386-member parliament. The Socialist Party, made up of former Communists, was second with 133 seats. The populist-agrarian Smallholders party had 48 seats; and the Hungarian Democratic Forum, already a committed partner, 17 seats, according to figures released by the Central Electoral Commission.
