“People thought the hospital closed down after the earthquake, and this is a way to showcase the services we have available to the public,” said Marti Waite, event chairwoman.

In addition to a series of health-related seminars and lectures, the festival will showcase patient services available to seniors. Included will be health screenings, nutritional counseling and tests for body fat, glaucoma and oral cancer.

The free event will run from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. at 16111 Plummer St., building 200.
