Sunny Skies, Warmer Afternoons Expected

Areas of low clouds in the Valley will give way to mostly sunny skies Tuesday in the Valley, forecasters said.

Highs for Van Nuys and Woodland Hills today are expected to be 72, with slightly cooler temperatures in Burbank and Chatsworth, said John Sherwin, a meteorologist with WeatherData Inc., which provides forecast information to The Times.

Morning low temperatures through Saturday are expected to range from the low to mid-50s, said Sherwin, who added that no rain is in the forecast through the weekend.

Patchy morning fog is forecast for Wednesday and Thursday, with clear skies during the afternoon and temperatures ranging in the low to mid-70s, he said.

Friday is expected to be clear and breezy, with northerly winds gusting at speed of 20 mph, he said.

Highs are expected to be in the mid- to upper 70s on Friday.

Mostly sunny skies and afternoon highs ranging from the mid-70s to the low 80s are forecast for Saturday.
