Bank Robbers Each Get 80 Years in Prison
Two Los Angeles men have each been sentenced to 80 years and eight months in prison for four bank robberies in which they used firearms.
Because there is no parole in the federal system and prisoners must serve at least 85% of their sentence, Eric Habu McKenith, 24, and David Lydell Jones, 22, could spend the rest of their lives behind bars.
Jones was sentenced May 18 and McKenith was sentenced Wednesday by U.S. District Judge Robert M. Takasugi for robbing banks in Westminster, Pomona, South El Monte and Long Beach in 1995.
