Los Cabos Opens Tourist Office

There’s a new Los Cabos Tourist Board office in Orange County and a new toll-free number for information about the area on the southern end of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula.

The toll-free phone, offering brochures to tourists and information to travel agents in English, is (800) VISITCABO. The office, the board’s only one outside Mexico, is at 23120 Alicia Parkway, Suite 232, Mission Viejo 92692, tel. (949) 586-2840, fax (949) 586-2860, e-mail emmerton@ix.netcom.com. As of last week, it had one employee, Managing Director Sean Emmerton. Individual regions of Mexico have taken to promoting themselves in the wake of cutbacks in Mexico’s national tourism budget.
