Rexhall Industries, the Lancaster-based maker of recreational vehicles, is forecasting a 12% increase in third-quarter sales compared with the 1997 period.

The company, which is in the middle of a restructuring program, anticipates third-quarter income from continuing operations to be in the range of 25 cents to 28 cents per diluted share.

Rexhall also announced that earlier this month an Orange County Superior Court judge approved a settlement in a class-action lawsuit that alleged false advertising and problems with quality control.

The company agreed to pay $825,000 to cover attorneys’ fees and payments to an estimated 5,000 customers who purchased motor homes between 1993 and 1997. Rexhall also agreed to issue coupons good for $1,250 toward the purchase of a new motor home or $200 in repairs.
